MOBILE, AL July 1, 2011— In her new book, God People Money: Proven Ideas to Translate Your Faith Into the Workplace, author Susanne Sartelle writes about specific stories, examples, and steps of how individuals can put their Christian principles to work in their business. The reader will be captivated by the motivating stories of business leaders who are putting God first, people second, and money last—all of whom are thriving in their occupations. This book is about those business owners who not only verbally claim to be Christians but who also have integrated their belief system into all parts of their lives, including the workplace.

Sartelle states, “There are thousands of business owners who, when asked, will proclaim to be Christians. And I am sure that they are. There are many, good, church-going people in today’s business world. But too many of the many put their religion away until next Sunday when they hit the office on Monday morning. Are you one of those? That doesn’t mean you are not a good person. It does not mean that you don’t want to practice your Christianity in the workplace. Perhaps it just means you haven’t learned how, or you haven’t made it a priority. Perhaps it means you’re worried about what it means legally if you wear your religion on your sleeve. This book may be written for you.”

Susanne Sartelle has served five different communities in two states over a twenty-plus year career as a chamber of commerce professional. She has been president of the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce since December 2001. In 2007, under her leadership, the Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce was recognized as one of the top three chambers of its size in the country by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives. In 2008 Sartelle was named one of North Carolina’s Exceptional Women Leaders by NC Magazine. She completed an advanced degree--Master of Arts in Leadership--in August 2008 from Bellevue University. Sartelle owns 21st Century Leadership, LLC and enjoys providing leadership consulting services to chambers of commerce, non-profits and communities.
